operates Caja del Rio Landfill and Buckman Road Recycling & Transfer Station (BuRRT). The Agency works with the City of Santa Fe and Santa Fe County to help Santa Fe rethink their waste and reduce the impact on our environment.

Closed: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day/4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Contracts
The Santa Fe Solid Waste Management Agency (SFSWMA) intends to make a certain purchases for which it has been determined to qualify as a “Sole Source” in accordance with 13-1-126 NMSA 1978. The purpose of this “Notice of Intent to Award” is to publicly announce the SFSWMA’s intent to award a sole source contract for a specific service, construction or item of tangible personal property required by the SFSWMA.

How to Comment/Respond

Any qualified potential contractor who was not awarded a sole source contract may protest the “Notice of Intent to Award” by contacting the Purchasing Department within fifteen (15) calendar days of the date this Notice is posted. Your protest must be in writing and describe the basis for the protest. Please submit your protest, via e-mail, to fadunaway@santafenm.gov and include the words “PROTEST OF NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO (reference the contractor’s name that is subject of your protest) and your company name on the subject line. If you have questions, please contact the Central Purchasing Office at purchasing@santafenm.gov.
